It all started in the late 1970's when two different churches that were meeting in two separate locations in Lacombe came together to form Living Word Assembly of God Church in Lacombe. The church quickly became a lighthouse to the community and a place where families came and worshipped together as one church family.

Worship and strong biblical teaching are at the heart of everything we do at Living Word Church and have sustained our church family through our most difficult valleys, leading the way forward into so many of our victories as a church body. We know the Lord's presence changes our situations and we believe in always leaving room for Him to have His way in our gatherings.

Today, Living Word Church is a thriving beacon of light and hope in the heart of the Lacombe community. Renovations took place in 2018 that have since revitalized the heart of the church to grow and take territory for the Kingdom of God.

We meet in a beautifully updated campus with an updated kids and youth facilities as well as renovated worship center! Our parking lots are expanding as we see God's vision come to life!

We believe that we are strategically placed in the heart of Lacombe to shine the hope of Jesus Christ to Lacombe and all of St. Tammany Parish. As we move forward we know that the Lord will continue to provide vision, direction, and provision for us as we reach our community, parish, state, and world!
